Mixed Media Landscapes

living landscapes

These landscapes are alive with light.

Created almost entirely from precious metals—genuine silver leaf, copper, variegated brass, and gold ranging from 7 to 23 carats—each piece is collaged by hand onto wooden panel. Torn and marbled leaf forms the image itself, allowing the materials to carry both structure and movement.

Subtle layers of oil paint deepen contrast and guide the eye, interacting with the metals’ constant reflection and absorption of light.

Highly reflective and iridescent, the surfaces shift as you move—revealing new layers with each change in light and perspective.

These works are best encountered in person, where art and nature converge and the viewer becomes part of the experience.
